Dual-boxing in WoW on 2 computers?
Question by Bella: Dual-boxing in WoW on 2 computers…?
Ok, so, my brother and I share the same WoW account and there are times when I really wanna play WoW, but he is on so I can’t, that makes me crazy.
Can I do anything to make possible that my brother and I play WoW at the same time on the same account on different computers?

No, to dual-box you need 2 accounts and 2 subscriptons.

Just to correct the guy above, you don’t need 2 accounts with 2 subscriptions. You can run more than one instance of WoW on one computer.
In any case, you can only have one character logged onto a WoW account at any one time. You would have to pay for a character transfer and buy a new account if you wanted to play seperately.
And to correct the guy above me, it seems like he didn’t read the first post. He said “to dual box you need two accounts” which is two subscriptions, not two computers. Completely true. The guy above me just thinks that his more elaborate answer overpowers a simple statement.
WoW implemented this for the sole purpose of making money. They figured, hey, if they want to play two characters at the same time, they’ll buy a new account. Very smart marketing idea, along with their rolling expansions they’re sure to continue racking in the money.
