I bought a Super Dual Box advance USB to hook my PS2 controller up to my windows vista PC, the controller is configured, but i cant get it to actually work, and i dont know why. been looking at all the sites about this and cant find anything. does this thing only work with emulators? ><

Did you run the config file to set up FFXI to run with the controller? Not the windows one but the config that installs with the game, to change the graphics and such. It should work as long as you set it up, all the people I know that like the controller tend to get it working no problem.
Otherwise, if you have a 360 the xbox controller works.
